for the ESBES-WorkingGroup for

Measurement, Monitoring, Modeling and Control (M3C)

Mission

The Working Group for Measurement, Monitoring, Modeling and Control (WG-M3C) should stimulate the advancement of these fields within the biochemical engineering science by providing a platform for communication, education and scientific activities. The M3C working group is an interface between European industry and academia.

The Working Group of M3C is a body of the European Federation of Biotechnology (EFB) organized within the Section Biochemical Engineering Science.

The Working Group of M3C was founded at the IXth European Congress of Biotechnology in Brussels 1999 to succeed its predecessor the Working Party for Measurement & Control of EFB.

The Working Group is open for all who are interested in the field of M3C. Each individual whose professional activities are related to M3C is eligible for adoption to the working group. Usually the M3C Working Group members meet once a year.

A new Chairman of WG-M3C is to be elected at the XIth European Congress of Biotechnology for a term of three years. Forthcoming new elections should be organized every third year. The acting chairman is responsible for calling to the election at least 2 months in advance. The chairman can be reelected by the members or a new chairman can be suggested by the members. The chairman is responsible for suggesting a new chairman candidate to the members.

A vice chairman of WG-M3C is elected according to the same terms as the chairman.

The chairman is together with the members responsible for the activities of the working group as well as keeping the member informed about the activities by e-mail and website communication.
